ANTA Accreditation and Membership
ANTA has represented professional natural therapy practitioners for more than 50 years and due to stringent membership requirements has established an unequalled and unparalleled standing in the profession for accrediting highly trained and qualified professional practitioners.
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications for ANTA Membership
Applications for membership are reviewed and assessed by a panel of the Australian Natural Therapists Accreditation Board (ANTAB).
Applications are reviewed and assessed in accordance with ANTA membership requirements (subject to change as determined by ANTA) at the time of application.
To be eligible for accreditation with the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) you are required to have completed a course that is recognised by ANTA.

Membership types and fees
Note: One Membership Fee Covers all Modalities.
MEMBER (A) Level - Minimum Qualification: Diploma - Recognised ANTA Course
Member (A) accreditation is available for natural therapists who have a Diploma qualification in the following modalities:
- Aromatherapy
- Counselling
- Musculoskeletal Therapy
- Myotherapy
- Oriental Remedial Therapy (Shiatsu, An Mo Tui Na, TCM RT)
- Shiatsu
- Remedial Therapy
Membership fee for Member (A) (1st year graduate = $110)
Note: Must join within one year of graduation
Membership fee for Member (A) = $165 per annum
(An additional application fee of $110 applies for new members, excluding 1st year graduates)
MEMBER Level - Minimum Qualification: Advanced Diploma - Recognised ANTA Course
Member accreditation is available for natural therapists who have an Advanced Diploma qualificaiton in the following modalities:
- Acupuncture (CMBA Registration Required)
- Aromatherapy
- Ayurvedic Medicine
- Chinese Herbal Medicine (CMBA Registration Required)
- Counselling
- Homoeopathy
- Musculoskeletal Therapy
- Myotherapy
- Naturopathy
- Nutrition
- Oriental Remedial Therapy
- Remedial Therapy
- Traditional Chinese Medicine (CMBA Registration Required)
- Western Herbal Medicine
Membership fee for Member (1st year graduate = $110)

Note: Must join within two years of graduation
Membership fee for Member = $330 per annum

FELLOW Level - Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor Degree
Fellow accreditation is available for natural therapists that have a Degree qualificaiton in the following modalities:

- Aromatherapy
- Ayurvedic Medicine
- Chinese Herbal Medicine (CMBA Registration Required)
- Counselling
- Homoeopathy
- Musculoskeletal Therapy
- Myotherapy
- Naturopathy
- Nutrition
- Oriental Remedial Therapy
- Remedial Therapy
- Traditional Chinese Medicine (CMBA Registration Required)
- Western Herbal Medicine
Fellow fee = $495 per annum
Members of ANTA are eligible to apply for an upgrade to Fellow level after 2 years membership and with proof of academic and/or professional practice, provided that they have a minimum qualification of a Degree.
ANTA also offers the following memberships:
Leave of Absence
Members can apply for a leave of absence for 12 months, with a further extension of 12 months available to a maximum of 2 years in total at a cost of $55 p/a.
Restricted ANTA Membership
Not practising members but still able to obtain TGA (e.g. Maternity Leave, Research, Teaching, etc,) $220 p/a.
Retired ANTA Membership
No longer practicing (receives journal and corespondance) $55p/a.
Overseas Membership
For any Member interested in maintaining full ANTA Membership and is interested in the actitives of ANTA (receives journal and regular corespondance) $220 p/a.
