The United Association (UA) is a professional working group of Australian Industry Associations representing Massage Therapists, Remedial Massage Therapists and Myotherapists that seeks to set exemplary industry standards, to provide a united voice on key industry issues, to support industry practitioners and to protect the public.
The UA works collaboratively with industry, health funds, insurers, accrediting bodies, government and other stakeholders to uphold exemplary standards across Remedial Massage Therapy and Myotherapy sectors.
Guided by a shared purpose, mutual respect and cooperation, we strive to create a robust and unified framework that enhances the competencies, professionalism and recognition of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Technical and Further Education institutes (TAFEs).
Our collective aims are to:
Support students and graduate practitioners through quality, industry-aligned training standards.
Assist training organisations in achieving excellence and improving graduate outcomes.
Strengthen public confidence in the safety and effectiveness of Remedial Massage Therapy and Myotherapy treatments.
Provide a united advocacy voice on key issues shaping the industry.
The following Colleges, Universities and RTOs have voluntarily completed the due diligence process for the Diploma of Remedial Massage qualification and/or the Myotherapy qualification. Graduates are accepted for membership and are eligible for administration to the individual Private Health Funds.
