As someone studying (or looking to study) an ANTA-recognised natural therapy, becoming an ANTA member has a number of invaluable benefits that can help your future career, including:
IMgateway is a collection of over 700 evidence-based journals and 6,000 scientific monographs based on complementary medicine, written by thousands of practitioners covering a range of conditions, herbs, supplements, and drugs.
eMIMS is a database that contains information on natural therapies products, contraindications with products and clinical resource indexes.
ANTA members have free access to these outstanding complementary medicine resources, which as a student, will provide you with invaluable research material for your studies.
At ANTA, we believe that money shouldn’t be a roadblock for students who want to pursue fruitful careers in natural therapy. So every year we give away $12,000 in bursary awards to our student members, to help them maximise their training opportunities, and achieve their career goals.
Students who receive an award will also receive 12 months complimentary practitioner membership upon completion of their course.
The Natural Therapist is the official journal of the Australian Natural Therapists Association—a high-quality journal that provides peer-reviewed, evidence-based information on different complementary and natural therapies. Each bi-annual issue includes a selection of natural therapy articles written by experts, from a range of modalities including acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, naturopathy and more.

As a recently-graduated student, you’ll get reduced membership fees for your first year. Check out our membership fees here.
With student membership, you’ll get free access to our library of seminars and webinars, to supplement your education and enhance your professional development after your graduate.
To be legitimate and trustworthy, natural therapies must be included in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (NRAS), and to help achieve this aim, ANTA is involved in extensive, ongoing government lobbying. By becoming a student member, you’ll be helping to support our association in this endeavour and the future of our industry.
